President's Report

2009 has already been very eventful for the brothers of Delta Sigma
Phi, Alpha Gamma chapter.
Firstly we are all very excited about the 14 members newly initiated
into our brotherhood. A few weeks ago we sent two brothers to Summit
in Indianapolis, Indiana where they learned dynamic rush techniques
pivotal to last week's spring rush, and all those to come. With the
knowledge gained at summit and the fresh passion of our new initiates,
we all worked hard a few weeks ago and brought in 10 new pledges for
our sigma class, a fraternity record for spring rush. We look forward
to seeing what next fall's rush has in store. We also sent 9 brothers
to RLA to meet with the other 16 chapters in the southeastern region.
The program was a success with Delta Sig's from all over the
southeastern region filling up the large conference room of our own
Atlanta Holiday Inn. All the brothers who returned from the summit and
RLA came back excited with a renewed passion for Delta Sig and an
invigorated work ethic, ready to improve chapter operations,
recruitment, and the quality of men we bring in. Lastly, our
semi-annual blood drive with the American Red Cross went off without a
hitch this past week, with the brothers of Alpha Gamma logging over 60
hours of community service. This past fall was also successful for us. We placed first in the 'wreck' competition of Homecoming for the 3rd straight year. We were also pleased at the large Alumni turnout at homecoming, and hope to see more this coming fall. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets also beat the Georgia Bulldogs in the final football game of the regular season. Our meal plan, officially launched last fall was a huge success, and is coming into its second semester this spring. With all that is to come, we look forward to a great semester with our new members and older faces, and hope to continue in our pursuit of excellence.
